We are here, Breckenridge, Colorado. We are having a family ski trip and rented a great house for the week.

Kai got stuck lying on the curtain and metal of the sliding door. Don't ask me how, but he stayed there until we helped him up.

Colton and I went on a Blue the afternoon of the first day. Why was I so stupid...? It killed my legs for the rest of the day, and I did have a pretty good wipeout (didn't hurt though). But the view is great!!! :)

Scott skiing. He had skied just a little before on the fake mountain in Springfield, so really this was his first time to ski. He picked it up very quickly and really liked it.

We met both grandparents at Panda for Kai's real 1st birthday, Feb 1st. His Nana wanted to celebrate the real day, so we did. Here are the kids and their grandmen looking at the fish.

Kai is 1 year old today and we thought we would give him a chance to walk a little bit on his own. He will take a couple of steps, but basically, he just falls into the other persons arms.

Kai loves his toy walker. He is starting to move around very good with it and he is even turning and backing up with it on his own.

January 2009

Kayla's new room and bed. We moved our whole house around just so Kayla could have her own bed. She was sleeping in a toddler bed, but very rarely would sleep in it. She would wake up and come to our bed many, many times. So, we started letting her sleep on the couch (for a couple of months) and that worked fine, but she needed to be in a room and her own bed. She would sleep anywhere but her toddler bed. So, we moved the guest bed upstairs to our master room and made that Kayla's room (our room is now downstairs). It has been great ever since!!!

We had his party a week early because Daddy had to go out of town for work on his real birthday.

This is a picture from my parent's balcony after the ice storm hit. My parents made the kids and I come to their house as the storm was coming full force, Scott was out of town for work (he missed the whole thing). They lost power for a week, and I found out from a neighbor that we never lost power at our house in Bella Vista. What a crazy week that was!!!

Kai is officially crawling on his hands and knees. He did a body drag or scoot or frog or combat crawl, until he was 11 months old (Jan 10th).
